Who am I? Let’s see, I’m about fifty million things rolled into one big package. I’m a father, I’m a Packer fan, an avid bird hunter, a lover of dogs (especially Brittany’s), I have a fascination with technology, lover of all things art, enjoy the unusual, history buff, conservative, liberal, moderate, lover of great food; I could go on and on – I am a lot of things and no one thing by itself.
I have been photographing everything and anything since before I can remember, although it wasn’t until I moved to Colorado in 1992 that I realized how important photography was and the release it provided. Despite having a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Computer Science along with minors in accounting and marketing I always felt as though some part of my life was lacking, another outlet to help balance the critical thinking part, a counter balance to the analytical side of my brain – that outlet has been and is photography.
Not a day passes where I am not looking at some object, individual or pet with the wonder of how that image would be photographed, how to make it look timeless, how to capture it for all eternity, its both a blessing and a curse at times. Photography allows me to explore and share with others how the world really looks.
Life is about learning and exploring and nowhere is that more prevalent than in my photography.
I get to be there on a brides most important day of her life and experience the joy and happiness that can never be duplicated, replaced, or experienced again and I get the privilege of capturing that day so that 10 or 20 years from now she can look back and realize what a joy her life has been, how it all started and how precious each moment has been to not only her but her family.
Wedding photography is specialized, not everyone has the patience, dedication, or experience to photographs weddings, and no bride should ever leave her wedding photography up to someone who is not a professional. I have been photographing weddings since 1992 and will be there each step of the way with you, explaining what we are doing, how we are going to capture the images you want and make sure that your images and pictures are the very best!

I get to be there within days of her child’s birth, to capture those seemingly innocuous moments or expressions that are here one moment and gone the next. I get to preserve the love that only a mother can share with her child and preserve it for their entire lifetimes. Newborns are a challenge for any photographer, you must have a keen eye to know when to capture a moment, how to keep the baby comfortable, we love our babies and will arrange a time for you to bring your newborn into our studio for a more formal setting or to meet you in the comfort of your home for those relaxed and candid images that can only come about in a baby’s home.
I get to capture the moments of that child as they become a senior in high school and graduate, entering the world with all the hopes, dreams, desires, and yes fears that come from entering the world truly as oneself. Senior pictures are supposed to be fun, exciting, a way for a senior to let it loose for a while and be themselves, to have no regrets, or leave anything behind. Regardless of style, traditional, outdoors, conservative, or wild and edgy I can help you capture the senior pictures that you will love and enjoy for years to come.
As you can see, its a life cycle, starting with the wedding of a young couple, photographing their children and then having the opportunity to watch those children grow up and raise families of their own. There is nothing in this world that brings more joy to my life than having the ability to photograph that cycle of life.
